About

My name is Barbara Eick Dalby, Virtual Personal Assistant and sole proprietor of Iken Organize. 

Eick is my maiden name and is pronounced "Ike", hence my business name:  Iken Organize.

Yes! I Can Organize!

I have 30 years professional experience working in private industry, three government agencies, a large national nonprofit organization, one feature film, a gig with an artist and another with an amazing life coach/author. I would now like to use that experience to help YOU obtain some sense of order!

I've taken on many projects in the past through temporary agencies and built solid relationships with many clients.  All too often, when a client would request my return, they were denied because I was on another assignment.  And because I was under contract with the agency, there were fees and red tape if they wanted to hire me permanently.  Although I enjoyed my work and the opportunity to experience many different facets in the business world, I was a contractor working for someone else.  I wasn't in control of my own destiny and that needed to change.  That's when IkenOrganize was born!


I'm competent, creative, highly organized, detail orientated and I strive for accuracy.  I have excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, meaning I don't give up until I find the solution.  I also have a
great sense of humor along with a diplomatic nature; qualities necessary for success. 

On a more personal note, I'm a writer.  I prefer non-fiction.  Being the nurturer that I am, I take great pleasure in helping others to find a more simple way of living.  Or at the very least,  suggest changes to make it appear more simple.  Life shouldn't be complicated.  I have always believed that often, there is easier but highly effective approach to almost anything!

Organizing is in my blood.  I thrive on concise order.  I revel in it!  And when I have it, I'm at peace and all is well in my world! I consider this part of my personality both a curse and a blessing! 

The curse is that it makes me nuts when I see total disarray.  A messy area or written page can give me hives!

The blessing is the "Ahhh" moment I experience when things are in order. 

With the birth of Iken Organize, I can now offer YOU that same Zen-like moment! 

Many of my skills and strengths are transferable so if you don't see something on my site that will meet your administrative needs, please contact me and we'll discuss it.  

I work virtually; that is, I work from my fully equipped home office, communicating with you electronically.
  If there is a need for my physical presence and we're "geographically" compatible, we can certainly discuss the option, as I'm not opposed to travel!
